Scala welcomes Don Antonucci to our Strategic Advisory Board

Running a modern contact center has never been harder. Today’s workforce is hybrid, costs keep rising, and leaders are under constant pressure to prove AI is delivering real value. But most operations still run on fragmented systems that were never designed to give leaders the intelligence they need to understand how their business actually behaves across workflows, conversations, people, and AI.

Scala was built to change that.

Today, we're announcing the launch of Scala's Strategic Advisory Board, a group of senior business and industry leaders who will help shape our product direction, sharpen our go-to-market thinking, and ensure Scala stays grounded in the real challenges executives face every day.

The Board is built on one principle: the best guidance comes from people who have lived the problem.

Introducing Don Antonucci

Don Antonucci, President and CEO of Providence Health Plan, is the first member of Scala's Advisory Board.

Under his leadership, Providence Health Plan has grown to serve more than 400,000 covered lives and $2.5 billion in premium revenue across the West Coast. Don has helped Providence Health Plan successfully navigate a dynamic and complex economic landscape while maintaining the highest standard of member experience in one of the most demanding service environments in the world.

Over a 25-year career spanning organizations like Blue Shield of California, 10xHealth, and Providence Health Plan, Don has built a reputation as a leader who prioritizes member experience, operational excellence, and service delivery at scale. His work has ensured that healthcare access, operational performance, and technology work in concert to produce the kind of service quality that builds lasting member trust.

He was named a 2026 and 2025 Great Leader in Healthcare by Becker's Hospital Review and 2024 Executive of the Year by the Portland Business Journal.

Don brings to Scala the perspective of a proven senior operator who has managed large-scale healthcare service operations where performance, cost, and member outcomes are inseparable. That combination of experience is exactly what the Advisory Board was designed to reflect.

“Don has operated at the center of member experience and enterprise scale for decades. He knows where the system breaks, why it breaks, and what it takes to fix it,” said Ardie Sameti, Co-Founder and CEO of Scala. “We’re building the unified intelligence platform that gives operators the clarity and control to run their operations with precision. Don’s perspective will make Scala sharper and more valuable to every operator we serve.”

Don is equally direct about what drew him to Scala.

"The contact center has become the front door of the member experience," said Don Antonucci. "When that system operates with clarity and intelligence, outcomes improve for everyone. That’s exactly what Scala is building, and I am excited to help shape it."

Don is the first of several announcements to come as we build an advisory board worthy of the leaders we serve.
